Firstly we have a beginners 0-5k group starting in Swavesey on 23rd April. This group is aimed at complete beginners, and is an eight week programme to take you from zero running to 5k. This is completely FREE and all coaches and leaders give their times voluntarily.
As well as the beginners group, we're still running (pun intended...) our Weds endurance sessions at Swavesey too - meet 6:30 at the Sports Centre for a sociable, mixed ability run of between 3 - 6 miles.
Our Tuesday sessions restart in Over after a break for Easter. These are mixed ability sessions and change each week, these include drills and games and will focus on the needs of the group. The sessions are delivered by our endurance coach and are challenging but fun!
And, if that's not enough, we're also re-running our 'Faster 5k' programme from last year. This will be on Thursdays 6:30pm at Cottenham Village Green. As the title suggests this will be based around speed work, and you will be given some homework to do in your own time. These sessions are designed to improve your 5k time by training smarter and not harder. £15 for the whole 5 week course - don't miss it! Previous participants have typically taken 5 - 10% off their 5k PB just by following our programme. From plodders to racing snakes, you can all benefit from coming along - unleash your inner cheetah!!

We are operated by a coaching team including a qualified running coach (who also is a personal trainer, handy...) and eight UK Athletics run leaders. We also use local experts in physio, athletics coaching, yoga, sports therapy depending on what we're doing.
We operate as a 'not-for-profit' club. We price cheaply because of this - it's all about inclusion and getting people to join in.
Our club is affiliated to UK Athletics. We're run by committee - the members decide what happens!
We are completely (honestly) mixed ability. We have complete beginners, we have people that run marathons and everything between. We have slow ones, we have fast ones.
We don't just run. Ok, we do, but we never charge for this - these sessions are on Weds and Saturday and are always FREE.
Some of our members race. Some don't. Some race as unattached members, some race as members of our affiliated club. Either way is fine.

Training sessions three times per week (Mon/Weds/Fri 6:30) with our experienced, enthusiastic, UK Athletics trained run leaders (you can do these in your own time if you prefer!). 8 weeks of membership to our mixed ability running groups in Over, Swavesey and Cottenham.
Oh, and it's FREE. Yep, completely, no catch. All welcome, 12+ (under 16s must be accompanied by a parent). Dogs welcome too - great exercise for woofers if they've got (ahem..) deconditioned.

Are you training for a Spring half? Our 10k-half marathon 8 week programme starts this week - includes up to three sessions per week including speed and endurance based sessions. Our UKAthletics coaches and leaders will run with you, and plan appropriate activities each week to prepare you for the race. FREE to members of Fen Edge Runners, £25 otherwise.
